Stats & Training
Raw HP carries Exploud's bulk more than the defenses do. Defense barely registers. But that HP pool covers for it. A tough to catch Loud Noise Pokemon that yields 3 HP EVs on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.

Exploud Weakness
Exploud's Normal typing leaves it vulnerable to Fighting. It shrugs off Ghost-type attacks completely. With 104 HP and balanced defenses, Exploud can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.

Breadth over depth defines this movepool. Exploud won't stack one type's damage ceiling, but coverage across 12 types means it always has an effective option. Hyper Beam and Giga Impact anchor the STAB core.

Exploud Guide
For HeartGold & SoulSilver, we rate Exploud C-Tier: a niche pick in HeartGold & SoulSilver's meta. At 490 BST, the stats are spread pretty evenly. Ice Beam with Life Orb is the standard set.
In HeartGold & SoulSilver, watch for Hitmonlee (Fighting) when using Exploud. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Soundproof protects against sound-based moves. That's the one you want on Exploud. Scrappy is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
At base 68 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Exploud is a special attacker with base 91 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two.
For HeartGold & SoulSilver, Exploud has answers, but so do you. Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Fighting-type attackers hit hardest.
