Dusclops is technically a pre-evolution of Dusknoir, but it holds its own in formats where Eviolite is allowed. Normal and Fighting moves can't touch it, and only 2 types hit it super-effectively. Part of the Gen 3 roster.
The stat bars tell the story: Defense carries everything and Speed's dead weight. But this Beckon Pokemon still yields 2 Defense and Sp. Def EVs per fight on a fast 800K XP curve.
Its body is entirely hollow. When it opens its mouth, it sucks everything in as if it were a black hole.
It seeks drifting will-o’-the-wisps and sucks them into its empty body. What happens inside is a mystery.
Dusclops Weakness
ExcellentDusclops is weak to Ghost and Dark-type moves. On the flip side, it's immune to Normal and Fighting-type moves entirely. Dusclops's overall bulk (40/130/130) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.
Dusclops connects Duskull to Dusknoir in this chain. At least one evolution here needs a trade. Defense has grown the most so far (+40), but there's still another 70 stats to gain in the final evolution.
How to Evolve
Breed with Dusclops to get Duskull eggs easily using 43 partners from the Indeterminate egg group. Notable egg moves include Grudge, Haze, Memento and 1 more.
Still unevolved, still relevant. Dusclops's Eviolite bulk with HP-heavy investment EVs creates a defensive profile that punches above its stage. Frisk adds passive value. Trickroom gives it offensive presence.

At 455 BST, Dusclops is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Dusknoir before bringing it to any serious fight.
Pressure is the go-to ability for Dusclops. It increases the PP cost of moves targetting the Pokémon by one. Its hidden ability Frisk can work in specific setups.
Dusclops is a physical attacker with base 70 Attack. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. But the speed tells the real story — base 25 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.
Dusclops appears in 16 games, including Ruby & Sapphire, FireRed & LeafGreen, and Emerald.
Since Ruby & Sapphire, Dusclops has been in 16 games. Requiring a trade evolution to obtain means it's consistently available but requires more effort than simply catching it in the wild.
