Drifblim's Ghost/Flying typing gives it an immunity to Normal, Fighting, and Ground. The 5 weaknesses are the tradeoff, but that immunity creates real opportunities. Been around since Gen 4. It needs some investment to avoid getting outsped.
Drifblim's spread is anchored by HP, with balanced defenses backing it up. Defense is the clear weak point. Worth 2 HP EVs per KO, and the standard growth curve keeps leveling painless.
It can generate and release gas within its body. That’s how it can control the altitude of its drift.
They carry people and Pokémon, but the wind can catch them, so there can’t be a fixed destination.
Drifblim Weakness
ExcellentType-wise, Drifblim takes extra damage from Electric, Ice, Rock, Ghost, and Dark. Normal, Fighting, and Ground moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity.
Drifblim is the evolved form of Drifloon. Breeding produces Drifloon eggs, and they're slow to hatch. Evolving from Drifloon gave Drifblim the biggest boost in HP (+60), bringing the total to 498 stats.
How to Evolve
Breed with Drifblim to get Drifloon eggs easily using 52 partners from the Indeterminate egg group. Notable egg moves include Clear Smog, Defog, Disable and 3 more.
This build takes hits and hits back. Heavy-Duty Boots provides hazard immunity on every switch-in, Aftermath supports the gameplan, and max Sp. Atk and Speed EVs mean Drifblim doesn't crumble to chip damage. Plus utility options backing it up.

The egg pool carries weight here. Clear Smog and Defog aren't available any other way for Drifblim, and they meaningfully change what it threatens. Stack those on top of Fly and Phantom Force for solid options.

Aftermath is the go-to ability for Drifblim. It damages the attacker for 1/4 its max HP when knocked out by a contact move. Its hidden ability Flare Boost can work in specific setups. Unburden is the other option — pick based on what your team needs.
Drifblim fills the balanced role. It's leaning toward the special side (base 90 Sp. Atk). Base 80 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
