Beautifly's Bug/Flying typing gives it an immunity to Ground. The 5 weaknesses are the tradeoff, but that immunity creates real opportunities. Relies on priority moves or Scarf to keep up. Known as the Butterfly Pokemon.
Beautifly's built around special offense. Sp. Atk leads the charge, Defense pays for it. Tough to catch, worth 3 Sp. Atk EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
A colorful and incredibly beautiful but also greedy Pokémon. In an effort to keep its favorite food all to itself, it will chase away Combee as they try to gather nectar.
Beautifly Weakness
VulnerableBeautifly's Bug/Flying typing leaves it vulnerable to Rock, Fire, Electric, Ice, and Flying moves. Rock hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It shrugs off Ground-type attacks completely.
Out of 2 evolutions from Wurmple, Beautifly comes from the level-up path. The method you use determines which form you end up with. Breed through Wurmple to get eggs. Evolving from Wurmple gave Beautifly the biggest boost in Sp.Atk (+80), bringing the total to 395 stats.
How to Evolve
One boost from Quiver Dance and Beautifly gets dangerous fast. The Modest nature targets max Sp. Atk and Speed, and Rivalry backs the whole approach. Quiver Dance and utility options handle most of what's left standing.

Beautifly's movepool balances level-up moves with TM options. Consistent STAB comes from Bug Buzz and Leech Life, and Poison and Normal coverage and more keeps opponents from switching in for free. No major gaps here.

Beautifly develops a solid moveset just through leveling. Bug Buzz and Energy Ball show up naturally, and the progression handles both STAB and utility without leaning on TMs for the core attacks.
Without TMs, Beautifly's movepool is bare bones. With them, you get coverage across 8 types on top of Bug Buzz and Signal Beam for STAB. The natural kit handles basics, but TMs are doing the real work.

Beautifly has a 395 base stat total and ranks as C-Tier — a situational pick that fills a niche. It works best as an attacker. Base 100 Sp. Atk is where it shines.
Watch for Golem (Rock), Charizard (Fire), and Raikou (Electric) when using Beautifly. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Golem is the most dangerous since Rock moves deal 4x damage. Ice and Flying-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
Swarm strengthens bug moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less — that's the one you want on Beautifly. Rivalry is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Beautifly fills the attacker role. It's leaning toward the special side (base 100 Sp. Atk). At base 65 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
