Beautifly's Bug/Flying typing gives it an immunity to Ground. The 5 weaknesses are the tradeoff, but that immunity creates real opportunities. Relies on priority moves or Scarf to keep up. Known as the Butterfly Pokemon.
Beautifly's built around special offense. Sp. Atk leads the charge, Defense pays for it. Tough to catch, worth 3 Sp. Atk EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
BEAUTIFLY’s favorite food is the sweet pollen of flowers. If you want to see this POKéMON, just leave a potted flower by an open window. BEAUTIFLY is sure to come looking for pollen.
BEAUTIFLY has a long mouth like a coiled needle, which is very convenient for collecting pollen from flowers. This POKéMON rides the spring winds as it flits around gathering pollen.
Beautifly Weakness
VulnerableBeautifly's Bug/Flying typing leaves it vulnerable to Rock, Fire, Electric, Ice, and Flying moves. Rock hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It shrugs off Ground-type attacks completely.
- Dark and Steel types added — Fairy does not exist yet
- Moves are Physical or Special based on type, not per move
Out of 2 evolutions from Wurmple, Beautifly comes from the level-up path. The method you use determines which form you end up with. Breed through Wurmple to get eggs. Evolving from Wurmple gave Beautifly the biggest boost in Sp.Atk (+80), bringing the total to 395 stats.

Without TMs, Beautifly's movepool is bare bones. With them, you get Grass and Normal coverage and more on top of Silver Wind and Aerial Ace for STAB. The natural kit handles basics, but TMs are doing the real work.

Step 3Beautifly ✓
Beautifly has a 395 base stat total and ranks as D-Tier — outclassed by better options in most formats. It works best as an attacker. Base 100 Sp. Atk is where it shines.
Watch for Golem (Rock), Charizard (Fire), and Raikou (Electric) when using Beautifly. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Golem is the most dangerous since Rock moves deal 4x damage. Ice and Flying-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
Swarm strengthens bug moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less — that's the one you want on Beautifly. Rivalry is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Beautifly fills the attacker role. It's a special attacker with base 100 Sp. Atk. At base 65 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
