Rock weakness page: abilities and items that change Rock matchups →How Rock moves deal damage in Scarlet & Violet
Each Rock move in Scarlet & Violet is physical or special on its own, so check the category before you pick an attacker. The Rock matchups here are the same as in today’s games.
Each move has its own category: physical moves use Attack against Defense, special moves use Sp. Atk against Sp. Def. The move list above shows which is which.
Once a battle, each side can Terastallize one Pokémon, and until the battle ends it has a single Tera type in place of its usual one or two. Rock moves that did normal damage before the change can hit 2× after it, and the reverse.
