Mightyena cannot be caught in this game. It must be traded in from a compatible game where it appears in the wild. On GBA, cross-region trading unlocks post-game after Celio's Sevii Islands Ruby & Sapphire quest. The Switch re-release supports only one-way transfers out to Pokemon HOME. Alternatively, transfer the pre-evolution and level it up to Lv 18.

How to Get Mightyena in FireRed & LeafGreen

Mightyena evolves from a Poochyena at level 18. Since Poochyena needs to come in through a Hoenn trade, the whole chain lives outside Kanto, with the evolution grind happening after the trade.

Mightyena Weakness

Type-wise, Mightyena takes extra damage from Fighting and Bug. Psychic moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. Just 2 weak spots to worry about, which keeps teambuilding straightforward.
