Almost nobody uses Wimpod in battle. It exists to evolve into Golisopod, which is a completely different story. Get it there and you won't regret it. Only weak to Electric, Flying, and Rock. Known as the Turn Tail Pokemon.
Nothing fancy in Wimpod's spread. It leans mixed with Speed out front. And you'll get 1 Speed EV per KO for it. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
It’s nature’s cleaner—it eats anything and everything, including garbage and rotten things. The ground near its nest is always clean.
Wimpod gather in swarms, constantly on the lookout for danger. They scatter the moment they detect an enemy’s presence.
Wimpod Weakness
GoodWimpod's Bug/Water typing leaves it vulnerable to Electric, Flying, and Rock moves. The Bug/Water typing picks up 5 resistances to work with.
Wimpod is the base form in a two-stage line leading to Golisopod. Check the evolution method below. A decent partner pool for breeding via two egg groups. Eggs are average hatch time. The evolved forms gain up to 300 total stats over Wimpod.
How to Evolve
Breed Wimpod easily with 47 breeding partners from the Bug and Water3 egg groups. Pass egg moves like Aqua Jet, Harden, Metal Claw and 2 more to offspring.
One guaranteed turn is all Wimpod needs. Focus Sash buys it, max HP and Speed EVs make it count, and Wimpout adds something extra. The goal: deal early damage and deal damage with Strugglebug. Utility options gives it play beyond just the lead turn.

Wimpod evolves into Golisopod at level 30. Wimpod is the base form of this evolutionary line.
Wimp Out this Pokémon automatically switches out when its HP drops below half — that's the one you want on Wimpod. It's the only ability Wimpod has.
Wimpod is leaning toward the physical side (base 35 Attack). Fragile — can't afford to take many hits, too. But the speed tells the real story — base 80 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many.
Wimpod can be found in Legends: Z-A, Sword & Shield, Sun & Moon, and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.
Since Sun & Moon, Wimpod has been obtainable in 4 games. A Generation 7 debut means a shorter history, but Wimpod has appeared steadily across every generation since.
