Almost nobody uses Wimpod in battle. It exists to evolve into Golisopod, which is a completely different story. Get it there and you won't regret it. Only weak to Electric, Flying, and Rock. Known as the Turn Tail Pokemon.
Nothing fancy in Wimpod's spread. It leans mixed with Speed out front. And you'll get 1 Speed EV per KO for it. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
This Pokémon is a coward. As it desperately dashes off, the flailing of its many legs leaves a sparkling clean path in its wake.
Its habitat varies from beaches to seabeds. A natural scavenger, it will gleefully chow down on anything edible, no matter how rotten.
Wimpod Weakness
GoodWimpod's Bug/Water typing leaves it vulnerable to Electric, Flying, and Rock moves. The Bug/Water typing picks up 5 resistances to work with.
Wimpod is the base form in a two-stage line leading to Golisopod. Check the evolution method below. No compatible partners for breeding via two egg groups. Eggs are average hatch time. The evolved forms gain up to 300 total stats over Wimpod.
How to Evolve
Breed Wimpod easily from the Bug and Water3 egg groups. Pass egg moves like Aqua Jet, Harden, Metal Claw and 2 more to offspring.

No build content available for this Pokemon in Gen 7.
Try selecting a different game/generation filter, or check back later.
The natural movepool does the job, but Aqua Jet and Harden from the egg pool give Wimpod something extra. Pair those with Surf and Leech Life for STAB and Normal and Steel coverage for reach, and the kit fills out nicely.

At 230 BST, Wimpod is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Golisopod before bringing it to any serious fight.
Watch for Rotom (Electric), Dodrio (Flying), and Aerodactyl (Rock) when using Wimpod. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB.
Wimpod evolves into Golisopod at level 30. Wimpod is the base form of this evolutionary line.
Wimp Out this Pokémon automatically switches out when its HP drops below half — that's the one you want on Wimpod. It's the only ability Wimpod has.
Wimpod is leaning toward the physical side (base 35 Attack). Fragile — can't afford to take many hits, too. But the speed tells the real story — base 80 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many.
Wimpod can be found in Legends: Z-A, Sword & Shield, Sun & Moon, and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.
Since Sun & Moon, Wimpod has been obtainable in 4 games. A Generation 7 debut means a shorter history, but Wimpod has appeared steadily across every generation since.
