The extension and contraction of its muscles generates electricity. It glows when in trouble.

Shinx's Electric typing leaves it vulnerable to Ground. Few weaknesses and 3 resistances make the typing clean. Just 1 weak spot to worry about, which keeps teambuilding straightforward.

  • Luxio at level 15 is the mid-stage. Push through to Luxray at level 30 for the final form. 263 BST right now won't cut it long-term.

  • Level 15 gets you Luxio. Quick enough that Shinx barely slows you down.

  • You can run Shinx through the first few routes without issues. 263 BST won't carry you far though. Get it to Luxio as fast as you can.

  • Across 13 games, Shinx has solid availability. First showed up in Scarlet & Violet. The latest games to include it are Platinum and HeartGold & SoulSilver.

Available in 13 titles since its debut in Diamond & Pearl, Shinx spans 7 generations of Pokemon games. It's accessible through catching or hatching as a base form in a solid number of games.
