Petilil sits at the start of its evolution line — not yet at full power, but that changes fast. Most trainers push through to Lilligant as fast as possible. 5 type weaknesses to keep in mind. Known as the Bulb Pokemon.
Nothing fancy in Petilil's spread. It leans special with Sp. Atk out front. And you'll get 1 Sp. Atk EV per KO for it. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
The leaves on its head grow right back even if they fall out. These bitter leaves refresh those who eat them.

Petilil's encounter pool splits between White 2 and Black 2. You've got 11 walking and trade spots at Lv. 15-65 total, but your version determines which ones actually show up.
At 280 BST, Petilil is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Lilligant before bringing it to any serious fight.
Petilil's biggest threats include Infernape (Fire), Kyurem (Ice), and Crobat (Poison), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Flying and Bug-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. At base 30 Speed, Petilil won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Petilil can evolve into Lilligant and Hisuian Lilligant depending on the method. Petilil is the base form in a 3-stage evolutionary line.
Petilil gets Chlorophyll, Own Tempo, and Leaf Guard. But Chlorophyll is the one that matters — it's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Petilil is leaning toward the special side (base 70 Sp. Atk). Fragile — can't afford to take many hits, too. But the speed tells the real story — base 30 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.
