Mesprit Guide

  • For the Sun & Moon meta, At 580 BST, Mesprit is built different. We rank it C-Tier. As a Legendary Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as an attacker. Calm Mind with Leftovers is the standard set.

  • In Sun & Moon, watch for Pinsir (Bug), Dusknoir (Ghost), and Weavile (Dark) when using Mesprit. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB.

  • Levitate is what you want on Mesprit. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind.

  • Base 80 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Mesprit is a special attacker with base 105 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as an attacker.

  • For Sun & Moon, Mesprit has answers, but so do you. Faster attackers outpace it. Anything with a super-effective STAB move and decent speed can revenge kill.

Game Availability

First obtainable in Diamond & Pearl, Mesprit has been featured in 13 titles across 7 generations. Legendary status means a single encounter per playthrough in most games.
