Loudred sits in the middle of its evolution line — stronger than Whismur but not yet at full power. Most trainers push through to Exploud as fast as possible. Known as the Big Voice Pokemon. Flexible enough to run physical or special sets.
Loudred's spread isn't flashy. HP leads, Defense trails, 1 stats clear the bar. Common in the wild and worth 2 HP EVs, on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
LOUDRED’s bellowing can completely decimate a wood-frame house. It uses its voice to punish its foes. This POKéMON’s round ears serve as loudspeakers.
LOUDRED shouts while stamping its feet. After it finishes shouting, this POKéMON becomes incapable of hearing anything for a while. This is considered to be a weak point.
Loudred Weakness
GoodType-wise, Loudred takes extra damage from Fighting. Ghost moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. Only 1 weakness makes it relatively easy to build around defensively.
- Dark and Steel types added — Fairy does not exist yet
- Moves are Physical or Special based on type, not per move
Loudred is the middle stage between Whismur and Exploud. It's a three-stage line with one more evolution to go. For breeding, average hatch time with a massive partner pool via two egg groups. HP has grown the most so far (+20), but there's still another 130 stats to gain in the final evolution.
How to Evolve

Breeding's the move. Extrasensory and Smelling Salts give Loudred options it can't learn any other way, and coverage across 9 types already covers a decent range on top of Uproar and Hyper Voice. The egg moves push it further.

Loudred isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Exploud to unlock its full potential. At 360 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Loudred's biggest threats include Machamp (Fighting), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Soundproof is the go-to ability for Loudred. It protects against sound-based moves. Its hidden ability Scrappy can work in specific setups.
Loudred fills the balanced role. It's a mixed attacker — base 71 Attack and 71 Sp. Atk. Base 48 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.
Loudred appears in 14 games, including Ruby & Sapphire, FireRed & LeafGreen, and Emerald.
Loudred first appeared in Ruby & Sapphire and has been available in 14 games across 7 generations. Obtainable through catching or hatching as a base form in most titles where it appears.
