Nothing fancy in Lokix's spread. It leans physical with Attack out front. And you'll get 2 Attack EVs per KO for it. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
When it decides to fight all out, it stands on its previously folded legs to enter Showdown Mode. It neutralizes its enemies in short order.
It uses its normally folded third set of legs when in Showdown Mode. This places a huge burden on its body, so it can’t stay in this mode for long.
Lokix is weak to Fire, Flying, Bug, Rock, and Fairy. On the flip side, it's immune to Psychic-type moves entirely. The Bug/Dark typing picks up 4 resistances to work with. Lokix leans offensive (base 102 Atk) rather than trying to tank its weaknesses.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Flying, Bug, Rock, Fairy |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Grass, Ground, Ghost, Dark |
| 0x (Immune) | Psychic |

Lokix is what Nymble becomes. Breed it for Nymble eggs (average hatch time). Plenty of partners for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. The evolution from Nymble pushed Lokix to 450 total stats. Attack saw the largest single gain at +56. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Lokix keeps momentum with U-turn, switching out after dealing damage or scouting. Heavy-Duty Boots gives it hazard immunity on every switch-in, max Attack and Speed EVs let it hit hard on the way out, and the remaining moves prevents dead turns.

Winds & Waves has not been released yet. Build info will be available after launch.
Check back after the game launches for competitive build content.
Moves
Most of Lokix's flexibility comes from TMs. Same-type output runs through First Impression and Bug Buzz, but Fighting and Normal and the rest of the TM pool push it from predictable to genuinely threatening.

Lokix looks average on paper at 450 BST. But Tinted Lens is why it sees play. Build around that and it pulls its weight. A-Tier attacker on our tier list.
Lokix gets Tinted Lens and Swarm. But Tinted Lens is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Lokix is a physical attacker with base 102 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 92 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. Fits the attacker role.
Best way to handle Lokix: Faster attackers outpace it. Anything with a super-effective STAB move and decent speed can revenge kill.
Since Scarlet & Violet, Lokix has been obtainable in 2 games. A Generation 9 debut means a shorter history, but Lokix has appeared steadily across every generation since.
