Between Chlorophyll and Grass typing, Lilligant carves out a strong competitive niche. It doubles its Speed in sun, which gives it an edge most Pokemon in its stat range don't have. Known as the Flowering Pokemon.

Lilligant's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Atk leads, Attack trails, 2 stats clear the bar. Moderately hard to find and worth 2 Sp. Atk EVs, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.

Lilligant doesn't evolve through normal leveling. You'll need an evolution item to get here from Petilil's line. Breed this form to get Petilil eggs (average hatch time). Evolving from Petilil gave Lilligant the biggest boost in Speed (+60), bringing the total to 480 stats.

How to Obtain Lilligant in Sword & Shield

Petilil is your first catch on the way to Lilligant. You'll find walking encounters from Lv. 40-48 across 20 total spots in the chain.

  2. Lilligant
    Step 2Lilligant
  • Don't let Lilligant's 480 base stat total fool you. Chlorophyll is what makes it tick — it punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier as an attacker.

  • Watch for Volcarona (Fire), Lapras (Ice), and Roserade (Poison) when using Lilligant. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Flying and Bug-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.

  • Petilil evolves into Lilligant using a Sun Stone. Lilligant is the final evolution in a 3-stage line starting from Petilil. At 480 BST, it's got solid stats to work with.

  • Run Chlorophyll on Lilligant. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Lilligant also gets Own Tempo and Leaf Guard, but they don't compare.

  • Lilligant fills the attacker role. It's a special attacker with base 110 Sp. Atk. Base 90 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.

  • Lilligant appears in 9 games, including Black & White, Black 2 & White 2, and X & Y.

Lilligant first appeared in Black & White and spans 9 games across 5 generations. It later gained a Hisuian form in Generation 8, adding new dimensions to its competitive identity.
