Flaaffy Weakness
Flaaffy is weak to Ground. Its Electric typing keeps the defensive matchups simple. Only 1 weakness makes it relatively easy to build around defensively.

Flaaffy Guide
In Diamond & Pearl, Flaaffy isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Ampharos to unlock its full potential. At 365 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
In Diamond & Pearl, Flaaffy's biggest threats include Golem (Ground), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Static is the go-to ability for Flaaffy. It has a 30% chance of paralyzing attacking Pokémon on contact. Its hidden ability Plus can work in specific setups.
In Diamond & Pearl, Flaaffy fills the balanced role. It's a special attacker with base 80 Sp. Atk. Base 45 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.
Game Availability
Flaaffy first appeared in Gold & Silver and has been available in 17 games across 9 generations. Obtainable through catching or hatching as a base form in most titles where it appears.
