Almost nobody uses Feebas in battle. It exists to evolve into Milotic, which is a completely different story. Get it there and you won't regret it. Known as the Fish Pokemon. Introduced in Gen 3.

Speed and Sp. Def carry most of Feebas's stat budget. Sp. Atk's the obvious dump stat. Easy to catch and yields 1 Speed EV. Follows a standard growth curve.

They are famous for their shabby appearance. Although populous, they tend to cluster in set locations.

Brilliant Diamond

It eats anything, so it can even live in polluted streams and lakes. No one pays any attention to it.

Feebas Weakness

Good

Electric and Grass-type moves hit Feebas for super-effective damage. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Feebas's special bulk (base 55 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Feebas doesn't evolve by leveling. You'll need a held item to push it forward to Milotic. The evolved forms gain up to 340 total stats over Feebas.

Start with a spread EV build EVs. Jolly nature gives Feebas the right fast physical lean, Loaded Dice adds guaranteed multi-hit consistency, and Adaptability works in the background. Waterfall is the main damage option.

Without breeding, Feebas misses out on Confuse Ray and Dragon Breath. That's 7 egg moves adding depth that the base kit lacks. STAB comes from Muddy Water and Surf, with Normal and Ice coverage and more rounding things out.

Tutor Moves

Feebas can't learn any Tutor moves

Feebas can't be caught in Scarlet & Violet. Bring it over from Ruby, Emerald, or Sun instead. The encounter info below covers the source games.

Feebas is not available as a wild encounter in this game.

Also found in:

  • Feebas is meant to evolve into Milotic. At 200 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.

  • Watch for Raikou (Electric) and Breloom (Grass) when using Feebas. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.

  • Feebas evolves into Milotic while holding a Prism Scale. Feebas is the base form of this evolutionary line.

  • Adaptability is what you want on Feebas. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Swift Swim, Oblivious) work on paper but Adaptability is what makes Feebas worth using.

  • Base 80 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Feebas is a mixed attacker — base 15 Attack and 10 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Fragile — can't afford to take many hits.

  • Feebas appears in 16 games, including Ruby & Sapphire, FireRed & LeafGreen, and Emerald.

Obtainable through an item-based evolution, Feebas appears in 16 titles across 7 generations since Ruby & Sapphire. The evolution method adds a barrier that wild-catchable Pokemon don't have.
