Almost nobody uses Feebas in battle. It exists to evolve into Milotic, which is a completely different story. Get it there and you won't regret it. Known as the Fish Pokemon. Introduced in Gen 3.

Speed and Sp. Def carry most of Feebas's stat budget. Sp. Atk's the obvious dump stat. Easy to catch and yields 1 Speed EV. Follows a standard growth curve.

A tough Pokémon that is perfectly fine even in dirty water. However, due to its ragged, shabby appearance, it isn’t popular.

Sun

Although unattractive and unpopular, this Pokémon’s marvelous vitality has made it a subject of research.

Feebas Weakness

Good

Electric and Grass-type moves hit Feebas for super-effective damage. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Feebas's special bulk (base 55 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Best Build

No build content available for this Pokemon in Gen 7.

Try selecting a different game/generation filter, or check back later.

Without breeding, Feebas misses out on Brine and Captivate. That's 12 egg moves adding depth that the base kit lacks. STAB comes from Surf and Scald, with Normal and Ice coverage and more rounding things out.

Feebas sits at moderate rates across 8 spots in early-game fishing spots. Pick one from the sorted list and commit to it. Jumping between areas wastes more time than waiting in the right location.

Best Locations

Catching Feebas here means fishing. All 8 encounters require Super Rod at Lv. 10-15, and there aren't any overworld spawns in this game.

LEGENDARY
  • Feebas is meant to evolve into Milotic. At 200 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.

  • Watch for Raikou (Electric) and Breloom (Grass) when using Feebas. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.

  • Feebas evolves into Milotic while holding a Prism Scale. Feebas is the base form of this evolutionary line.

  • Adaptability is what you want on Feebas. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Swift Swim, Oblivious) work on paper but Adaptability is what makes Feebas worth using.

  • Base 80 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Feebas is leaning toward the physical side (base 15 Attack). Defensively? Fragile — can't afford to take many hits.

  • Feebas appears in 16 games, including Ruby & Sapphire, FireRed & LeafGreen, and Emerald.

Obtainable through an item-based evolution, Feebas appears in 16 titles across 7 generations since Ruby & Sapphire. The evolution method adds a barrier that wild-catchable Pokemon don't have.
