Stats & Training
Everything pushes toward physical damage here. Durant's Defense does the work, Sp. Atk pays the price. But you're still getting 2 Defense EVs per KO. Moderately hard to find, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
They lay their eggs deep inside their nests. When attacked by Heatmor, they retaliate using their massive mandibles.
With their large mandibles, these Pokémon can crunch their way through rock. They work together to protect their eggs from Sandaconda.
Durant Weakness
Durant is weak to Fire. Watch out for Fire attacks, those deal 4x damage. On the flip side, it's immune to Poison-type moves entirely. It resists 8 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely. Durant's physical bulk (base 112 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

How to Get Durant in Sun & Moon
Durant Guide
In Sun & Moon, Durant works as a sweeper with 484 BST behind it. C-Tier on our list: a niche pick in Sun & Moon's meta. Ironhead with Focus Sash is the standard set.
In Sun & Moon, Durant's biggest threats include Blaziken (Fire), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Blaziken is the most dangerous since Fire moves deal 4x damage. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. Durant's base 109 Speed lets it outpace many threats and strike first, which matters more than trying to tank hits.
Swarm is the go-to ability for Durant. It strengthens bug moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less. Its hidden ability Truant can work in specific setups. Hustle is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.
Durant is a physical attacker with base 109 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 109 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. Fits the sweeper role.
For Sun & Moon, the core moveset is Ironhead, Protect, Entrainment, and Baton Pass. Ironhead leads at 24% usage. This set covers the sweeper role with a mix of damage and utility.
