Cottonee doesn't have much going for it on its own — the stats just aren't there. The payoff is Whimsicott, and getting there is worth the grind. Been around since Gen 5. 5 type weaknesses to keep in mind.
Cottonee's spread isn't flashy. Speed leads, Attack trails, 0 stats clear the bar. Common in the wild and worth 1 Speed EV, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Perhaps because they feel more at ease in a group, they stick to others they find. They end up looking like a cloud.
Cottonee Weakness
FragileType-wise, Cottonee takes extra damage from Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, and Bug. It resists 4 types, giving it decent defensive coverage.
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)
