Chatot's Normal/Flying typing gives it an immunity to Ground and Ghost. Only 3 weaknesses on top of that — it has plenty of safe switch-in opportunities. Been around since Gen 4. Sits at a decent but contested Speed tier.
Chatot's built around special offense. Sp. Atk leads the charge, Sp. Def pays for it. Tough to catch, worth 1 Attack EV. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
A versatile performer skilled in the imitation of human speech. It is said that older, more experienced Chatot can even understand the meaning of the words they mimic.
Chatot Weakness
GoodElectric, Ice, and Rock-type moves hit Chatot for super-effective damage. The upside? Ground and Ghost-type moves can't touch it at all. Chatot leans toward special offense (base 92 Sp.Atk) instead of trying to wall anything.
No evolution chain to worry about here. Chatot is a standalone Pokemon with no compatible partners for breeding through one egg group. Eggs come out average hatch time.
How to Evolve
Breed Chatot easily from the Flying egg group. Pass egg moves like Agility, Air Cutter, Boomburst and 7 more to offspring.
The recommended build leans into Chatot's strengths as an attacker. Leftovers provides passive recovery each turn, and max Sp. Atk and Speed EVs back that up. Keeneye rounds out the package.

Don't skip the egg moves. Chatot picks up Agility and Air Cutter only through breeding, and both fill gaps the natural movepool can't. STAB runs through Boomburst and Hyper Voice while coverage across 7 types adds range.

Keen Eye prevents accuracy from being lowered — that's the one you want on Chatot. Big Pecks is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Tangled Feet works too if your team needs something different.
Chatot fills the pivot role. It's a special attacker with base 92 Sp. Atk. Base 91 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. And it's fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
