Stats & Training
Chatot's built around special offense. Sp. Atk leads the charge, Sp. Def pays for it. Tough to catch, worth 1 Attack EV. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
It mimics the cries of other Pokémon to trick them into thinking it’s one of them. This way they won’t attack it.
It can learn and speak human words. If they gather, they all learn the same saying.
Chatot Weakness
Electric, Ice, and Rock moves hit Chatot for super-effective damage. The upside? Ground and Ghost-type moves can't touch it at all. Chatot leans toward special offense (base 92 Sp.Atk) instead of trying to wall anything.

Chatot Guide
For X & Y, it depends on your team. Chatot at 411 BST isn't a powerhouse, but the Normal/Flying coverage might be exactly what you're missing.
In X & Y, Chatot has a 411 base stat total and ranks as C-Tier: a niche pick in X & Y's meta. It works best as a pivot. Boomburst with Focus Sash is the standard set.
Keen Eye prevents accuracy from being lowered. That's the one you want on Chatot. Big Pecks is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Tangled Feet works too if your team needs something different.
In X & Y, Normal/Flying typing gives Chatot 4 resistances plus Ground and Ghost immunity. Base 92 Sp. Atk is the standout stat. 411 BST gives it a workable foundation.
