Don't let the raw stats fool you. Regenerator recovers a third of its HP every time it switches out, and that completely changes the math for Audino. Ghost moves can't touch it, and only a single type hits it super-effectively.
Audino's spread favors balanced defenses over offense. HP leads the defensive side, Speed eats the cost. Yields 2 HP EVs per defeat. Fast 800K XP curve to level.
It touches others with the feelers on its ears, using the sound of their heartbeats to tell how they are feeling.
Its auditory sense is astounding. It has a radarlike ability to understand its surroundings through slight sounds.
Audino Weakness
GoodAudino's Normal typing leaves it vulnerable to Fighting moves. It shrugs off Ghost-type attacks completely. With 103 HP and balanced defenses, Audino can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)
No evolution chain to worry about here. Audino is a standalone Pokemon with a decent partner pool for breeding through one egg group. Eggs come out average hatch time.
How to Evolve
Breed Audino easily with 38 breeding partners from the Fairy egg group. Pass egg moves like Amnesia, Bestow, Encore and 7 more to offspring.
This build takes hits and hits back. Leftovers provides passive recovery each turn, Regenerator supports the gameplan, and max HP and Sp. Atk EVs mean Audino doesn't crumble to chip damage. Plus Fire coverage backing it up.

You'll want to breed for Amnesia and Bestow on Audino. These egg moves aren't just nice to have. Combined with STAB from Hyper Beam and Last Resort, they expand what Audino can actually threaten in practice.

Audino is available from early-game routes onward at high spawn rates. 50 encounter spots give you plenty of options. Grab one early and it'll be ready to evolve or train by mid-game.
Best Locations
50 walking encounters at Lv. 2-55 for Audino across Black and White. A few locations are version-exclusive, so your copy of the game affects what's available.
Don't let Audino's 445 base stat total fool you. Regenerator is what makes it tick — it punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier as a support.
Watch for Hitmonlee (Fighting) when using Audino. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Audino doesn't evolve and has no evolutionary line. It's a Normal-type Pokemon with a 445 base stat total.
Run Regenerator on Audino. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Audino also gets Healer and Klutz, but they don't compare.
Audino fills the support role. It's a special attacker with base 60 Sp. Atk. Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
Audino appears in 8 games, including Black & White, Black 2 & White 2, and X & Y.
Introduced in Black & White, Audino has appeared in 8 games across 5 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
