Its long, striking legs aren’t just for show but to be used to kick with skill. In victory, it shows off by kicking the defeated, laughing boisterously.

Tsareena Weakness

Tsareena's Grass typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, and Bug. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. 5 weaknesses means you'll want teammates that can handle the coverage gaps.

Tsareena Guide

  • For Sun & Moon, we rate Tsareena C-Tier: a niche pick in Sun & Moon's meta. At 510 BST, it fits the wallbreaker role. High Jump Kick with Assault Vest is the standard set.

  • In Sun & Moon, watch for Infernape (Fire), Kyurem (Ice), and Roserade (Poison) when using Tsareena. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Flying and Bug-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.

  • Leaf Guard protects against major status ailments during strong sunlight. That's the one you want on Tsareena. Sweet Veil is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Queenly Majesty works too if your team needs something different.

  • Base 72 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Tsareena is a physical attacker with base 120 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.

  • For Sun & Moon, Tsareena has answers, but so do you. Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Special attackers bypass its physical bulk.

Game Availability

Tsareena joined the series in Sun & Moon and has been available in 4 titles so far. With 4 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
