Trubbish is technically a pre-evolution of Garbodor, but it holds its own in formats where Eviolite is allowed. Only weak to Ground and Psychic. Known as the Trash Bag Pokemon. Flexible enough to run physical or special sets.

An unusually even spread gives Trubbish flexibility. Speed barely edges ahead. But Sp. Atk isn't far off. Common in the wild and follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve. Yields 1 Speed EV.

Its favorite places are unsanitary ones. If you leave trash lying around, you could even find one of these Pokémon living in your room.

Sword

This Pokémon was born from a bag stuffed with trash. Galarian Weezing relish the fumes belched by Trubbish.

Breeding opens up real options for Trubbish. Autotomize and Curse come exclusively from egg moves, and they're worth the effort. The rest of the kit covers basics through Belch and Gunk Shot and Normal and Dark coverage and more.

  • Trubbish is meant to evolve into Garbodor. At 329 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.

  • Trubbish's biggest threats include Excadrill (Ground) and Reuniclus (Psychic), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.

  • Trubbish evolves into Garbodor at level 36. Trubbish is the base form of this evolutionary line.

  • Stench is the go-to ability for Trubbish. It has a 10% chance of making target Pokémon flinch with each hit. Its hidden ability Aftermath can work in specific setups. Sticky Hold is the other option — pick based on what your team needs.

  • At base 65 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Trubbish is leaning toward the physical side (base 50 Attack).

  • Trubbish appears in 8 games, including Black & White, Black 2 & White 2, and X & Y.

Trubbish joined the series in Black & White and has been available in 8 titles so far. With 5 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
