Spritzee is technically a pre-evolution of Aromatisse, but it holds its own in formats where Eviolite is allowed. Dragon moves can't touch it, and only 2 types hit it super-effectively. Known as the Perfume Pokemon. Flexible enough to run physical or special sets.

HP and Sp. Def carry most of Spritzee's stat budget. Speed's the obvious dump stat. Easy to catch and yields 1 HP EV. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.

A scent pouch within this Pokémon’s body allows it to create various scents. A change in its diet will alter the fragrance it produces.

Sword

The scent its body gives off enraptures those who smell it. Noble ladies had no shortage of love for Spritzee.

Shield

Spritzee Weakness

Good

Type-wise, Spritzee takes extra damage from Poison and Steel. Dragon moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. Just 2 weak spots to worry about, which keeps teambuilding straightforward.

The 50% bulk from Eviolite is no joke. Spritzee takes hits that fully evolved Pokemon can't, especially with a spread EV build EVs pushing the slow wall side. Trickroom gives it offensive presence.

Leveling does the heavy lifting. Spritzee picks up Moonblast and Psychic along the way, building toward a complete offensive set. TMs add Psychic and Grass coverage and more, but the foundation's already strong by then.

Spritzee doesn't appear in Legends: Z-A. Transfer it from Y or Shield to add it to your collection. Check the source games below for encounter details.

Spritzee is not available as a wild encounter in this game.

Also found in:

  • Spritzee is meant to evolve into Aromatisse. At 341 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.

  • Spritzee's biggest threats include Crobat (Poison) and Aegislash (Steel), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. At base 23 Speed, Spritzee won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.

  • Spritzee evolves into Aromatisse while holding a Sachet. Spritzee is the base form of this evolutionary line.

  • Healer is the go-to ability for Spritzee. It has a 30% chance of curing each adjacent ally of any major status ailment after each turn. Its hidden ability Aroma Veil can work in specific setups.

  • Base 23 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Spritzee is leaning toward the special side (base 63 Sp. Atk). Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a support.

  • Spritzee appears in 6 games, including X & Y, Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.

Spritzee joined the series in X & Y and has been available in 6 titles so far. With 4 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
