Snom doesn't have much going for it on its own — the stats just aren't there. The payoff is Frosmoth, and getting there is worth the grind. Watch the Fire and Rock matchup though — quadruple damage means one hit can end it. Known as the Worm Pokemon.
You won't find a real weakness in Snom's stat line. It's well-rounded for the Worm Pokemon, and what it does with that depends on moveset and items. Yields 1 Sp. Atk EV, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
It eats snow that has accumulated on the ground. It prefers soft, freshly fallen snow, so it will eat its way up a mountain, aiming for the peak.
Within its internal organs, Snom amplifies the frigid air it gets from eating snow and then uses this amplified air to create icicle-like spikes.

FragileSnom is weak to Fire, Rock, Flying, and Steel-type moves. Watch out for Fire and Rock attacks, those deal 4x damage.

Breed Snom easily with 50 breeding partners from the Bug egg group. Pass egg moves like Bug Bite, Fairy Wind, Mirror Coat to offspring.
Icescales and Eviolite give Snom staying power beyond its evolution stage. Modest nature boosts Sp. Atk, a spread EV build EVs set the spread, and the pre-evolution bulk actually works here.

At 185 BST, Snom is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Frosmoth before bringing it to any serious fight.
Snom's biggest threats include Blaziken (Fire), Tyranitar (Rock), and Salamence (Flying), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Blaziken is the most dangerous since Fire moves deal 4x damage. Steel-type attackers are also a problem. At base 20 Speed, Snom won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Snom evolves into Frosmoth by leveling up. Snom is the base form of this evolutionary line.
Snom gets Ice Scales and Shield Dust. But Ice Scales is the one that matters — it's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Snom is a physical attacker with base 25 Attack. Fragile — can't afford to take many hits, too. But the speed tells the real story — base 20 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.
