Stats & Training
Sliggoo's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Def leads, Defense trails, 2 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 2 Sp. Def EVs, on a slow 1.25M XP grind.
It crawls along sluggishly. The swirly protrusion on its back is filled with its brain and other organs.
Its entire body is covered with gooey mucus that can dissolve anything. Be sure to put gloves on if you’re going to touch it.
Sliggoo Weakness
Ice, Dragon, and Fairy moves hit Sliggoo for super-effective damage. It resists 4 types, giving it decent defensive coverage. Sap Sipper grants an additional Grass immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Sliggoo's special bulk (base 113 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Sliggoo Guide
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Sliggoo isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Goodra to unlock its full potential. At 452 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Run Sap Sipper on Sliggoo. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Sliggoo also gets Hydration and Gooey, but they don't compare.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Sliggoo fills the balanced role. It's a mixed attacker with base 75 Attack and 83 Sp. Atk. At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
Game Availability
Sliggoo first appeared in X & Y and spans 8 games across 5 generations. It later gained a Hisuian form in Generation 8, adding new dimensions to its competitive identity.
