The stat bars tell the story: Defense carries everything and Sp. Atk's dead weight. But this Rock Peak Pokemon still yields 3 Defense EVs per fight on a slow 1.25M XP grind.

How to Evolve
Bulk and offense in one package. Regirock runs Leftovers for passive recovery each turn with a Adamant nature, so it survives long enough to threaten with Explosion. Max HP and Attack EVs and Normal and Fighting coverage make it hard to safely switch into.

Recommended Teammates
The level-up pool is slim, so TMs matter here. Regirock's Normal and Fighting coverage and more all comes from technical machines, built on top of Rock Slide and Ancient Power for same-type damage. Explosion and Superpower are the payoff moves.

Watch for Starmie (Water), Venusaur (Grass), and Hitmonlee (Fighting) when using Regirock. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Ground and Steel-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. Regirock has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
