Mid-stage Pokemon like Quilladin rarely see competitive play outside of special formats. It's a waypoint on the road to Chesnaught, which is where the real potential kicks in. Been around since Gen 6. Relies on priority moves or Scarf to keep up.
Quilladin's spread isn't flashy. Defense leads, Sp. Atk trails, 1 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 2 Defense EVs, on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
It relies on its sturdy shell to deflect predators’ attacks. It counterattacks with its sharp quills.
They strengthen their lower bodies by running into one another. They are very kind and won’t start fights.
Quilladin Weakness
FragileQuilladin's Grass typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, and Bug moves. It resists 4 types, giving it decent defensive coverage. Quilladin's physical bulk (base 95 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
Quilladin is the middle stage between Chespin and Chesnaught. It's a three-stage line with one more evolution to go. For breeding, average hatch time with no compatible partners via one egg group. So far, Defense got the biggest boost (+30 from Chespin). The final form adds another 125 stats on top.
How to Evolve
