Pidove Weakness
GoodPidove's Normal/Flying typing leaves it vulnerable to Electric, Ice, and Rock moves. It shrugs off Ground and Ghost-type attacks completely.

Pidove is the start of a three-stage chain. It evolves into Tranquill first, then eventually reaches Unfezant. For breeding, quick to hatch with a decent partner pool via one egg group. The evolved forms gain up to 224 total stats over Pidove.

Breed Pidove easily with 45 breeding partners from the Flying egg group. Pass egg moves like Bestow, Hypnosis, Lucky Chant and 4 more to offspring.

The natural movepool does the job, but Bestow and Hypnosis from the egg pool give Pidove something extra. Pair those with Sky Attack and Fly for STAB and Bug and Steel coverage for reach, and the kit fills out nicely.

Pidove isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Tranquill to unlock its full potential. At 264 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Watch for Rotom (Electric), Lapras (Ice), and Aerodactyl (Rock) when using Pidove. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB.

Big Pecks protects against Defense drops — that's the one you want on Pidove. Rivalry is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Super Luck works too if your team needs something different.
