Pheromosa's all-in on Speed at the expense of Defense. The mixed lean is obvious from the bars. Yields 3 Speed EVs and follows a slow 1.25M XP grind.
A life-form that lives in another world, its body is thin and supple, but it also possesses great power.
Although it’s alien to this world and a danger here, it’s apparently a common organism in the world where it normally lives.
Pheromosa's Bug/Fighting typing leaves it vulnerable to Flying, Fire, Psychic, and Fairy. Flying hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It resists 5 types, giving it decent defensive coverage. At base 151 Speed, Pheromosa outspeeds most threats and doesn't need to tank what it can outrun.
| Damage | Types |

Moves
Without TMs, Pheromosa's movepool is bare bones. With them, you get coverage across 8 types on top of High Jump Kick and Close Combat for STAB. The natural kit handles basics, but TMs are doing the real work.

Pheromosa develops a solid moveset just through leveling. Jump Kick and Bug Buzz show up naturally, and the progression handles both STAB and utility without leaning on TMs for the core attacks.

Pheromosa doesn't appear in Sword & Shield. Transfer it from Moon or Ultra Moon to add it to your collection. Check the source games below for encounter details.
Pheromosa is a fixed encounter, not a random spawn. Walk up to it, interact, and the battle starts immediately. Head to Ultra Space when your team is ready for the fight.

Best Locations to Catch Pheromosa in Sun & Moon
Pheromosa has a 570 base stat total and ranks as B-Tier: a solid choice for the right team. It works best as a sweeper. Base 151 Speed is where it shines.
Watch for Staraptor (Flying), Charizard (Fire), and Starmie (Psychic) when using Pheromosa. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Staraptor is the most dangerous since Flying moves deal 4x damage. Fairy-type attackers are also a problem. Pheromosa's base 151 Speed lets it outpace many threats and strike first, which matters more than trying to tank hits.
Beast Boost raises this Pokémon's highest stat by one stage when it faints another Pokémon. That's the one you want on Pheromosa. It's the only ability Pheromosa has.
Pheromosa fills the sweeper role. It's a physical attacker with base 137 Attack. Base 151 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. And it's fragile, can't afford to take many hits.
Pheromosa has answers, but so do you. Priority moves (Mach Punch, Aqua Jet, Ice Shard) bypass its speed. Bulky walls that resist its STAB also shut it down.
Introduced in Sun & Moon, Pheromosa has appeared in 3 games across 4 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
