While most trainers evolve Mareanie into Toxapex immediately, the unevolved form has a niche with Eviolite boosting its defenses. Only weak to Electric, Ground, and Psychic. Known as the Brutal Star Pokemon. Can go either physical or special depending on the set.
Mareanie's stats barely vary. 0 sit in respectable range with no real gaps. It's a blank slate for EV investment. Worth 1 Defense EV, medium-fast 1M XP curve to max.
