On paper, Lampent looks underwhelming. In practice, Flash Fire absorbs Fire moves and powers up its own — and that's the whole story. Ghost/Fire typing means Normal and Fighting moves can't touch it, which offsets the 5 weaknesses somewhat. Known as the Lamp Pokemon.
Nothing fancy in Lampent's spread. It leans special with Sp. Atk out front. And you'll get 2 Sp. Atk EVs per KO for it. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
This Pokémon appears just before someone passes away, so it’s feared as an emissary of death.
It lurks in cities, pretending to be a lamp. Once it finds someone whose death is near, it will trail quietly after them.
Lampent Weakness
GoodLampent is weak to Water, Ground, Rock, Ghost, and Dark-type moves. On the flip side, it's immune to Normal and Fighting-type moves entirely. It resists 7 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely. Flash Fire grants an additional Fire immunity, reshaping the matchup chart.
Litwick's line splits into 2 evolutions, and Lampent is the level-up path. Each sibling form needs a different method to obtain. Breed through Litwick to get eggs. Chandelure has 150 more total stats, but Lampent makes up for it with a stronger Speed gain (+35 from Litwick).
How to Evolve
Breed with Lampent to get Litwick eggs easily from the Indeterminate egg group. Notable egg moves include Acid, Acid Armor, Captivate and 5 more.

Lampent is a special attacker with base 95 Sp. Atk. But the speed tells the real story — at base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often.
