Almost nobody uses Electrike in battle. It exists to evolve into Manectric, which is a completely different story. Get it there and you won't regret it. Known as the Lightning Pokemon. Been around since Gen 3.

Electrike's stats barely vary. 0 sit in respectable range with no real gaps. It's a blank slate for EV investment. Worth 1 Speed EV, slow 1.25M XP grind to max.

Electrike doesn't appear in Black & White. Transfer it from Ruby, Emerald, or Sword to add it to your collection. Check the source games below for encounter details.

Electrike is not available as a wild encounter in this game.

Also found in:

  • Electrike isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Manectric to unlock its full potential. At 295 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.

  • Watch for Golem (Ground) when using Electrike. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.

  • Electrike evolves into Manectric at level 26. Electrike is the base form of this evolutionary line.

  • Run Lightning Rod on Electrike. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Electrike also gets Static and Minus, but they don't compare.

  • Electrike fills the balanced role. It's a special attacker with base 65 Sp. Atk. At base 65 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's fragile — can't afford to take many hits.

  • Electrike appears in 15 games, including Ruby & Sapphire, FireRed & LeafGreen, and Emerald.

Electrike first appeared in Ruby & Sapphire and has been available in 15 games across 7 generations. Obtainable through catching or hatching as a base form in most titles where it appears.
