How to Get Diancie in Legends: Z-A
Diancie cannot be caught in the wild in Legends: Z-A, but you can still get it via these paths:
Historic Event Distribution
Diancie was originally distributed via Mystery Gift event during Legends: Z-A's lifecycle. The event has long since ended, but Pokemon obtained through it remain legitimate and can be traded from a preserved save file.
Diancie Weakness
Diancie's Rock/Fairy typing leaves it vulnerable to Steel, Water, Grass, and Ground. Steel hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It shrugs off Dragon-type attacks completely. The Rock/Fairy typing picks up 5 resistances to work with. Diancie's overall bulk (50/150/150) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 4x (Critical) | Steel |
| 2x (Weak) | Water, Grass, Ground |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Normal, Fire, Flying, Bug, Dark |
| 0x (Immune) | Dragon |

Moves List
The level-up pool is slim, so TMs matter here. Diancie's Normal and Ground coverage and more all comes from technical machines, built on top of Meteor Beam and Diamond Storm for same-type damage. Diamond Storm and Stone Edge are the payoff moves.

Diancie Legends: Z-A Guide
For the Legends: Z-A meta, At 600 BST, Diancie is built different. We rank it B-Tier. As a Mythical Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as an attacker. Diamondstorm with Leftovers is the standard set.
Mega Evolution isn't available in Legends: Z-A, but Diancie does have a Mega form in Gen 6-7 games (X/Y, ORAS, Sun/Moon). Mega Diancie hits 700 BST.
In Legends: Z-A, watch for Aegislash (Steel), Greninja (Water), and Venusaur (Grass) when using Diancie. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Aegislash is the most dangerous since Steel moves deal 4x damage. Ground-type attackers are also a problem. Diancie has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Clear Body prevents stats from being lowered by other Pokémon. That's the one you want on Diancie. It's the only ability Diancie has.
Diancie is a mixed attacker with base 100 Attack and 100 Sp. Atk. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the attacker role.
Game Availability
Introduced in X & Y, Diancie shows up in 7 games across 5 generations. Mythical status keeps it locked behind events or specific story content in most appearances.
