Type-wise, Calyrex takes extra damage from Ghost and Dark. Watch out for Ghost and Dark attacks, those deal 4x damage. Normal and Fighting moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. Calyrex's overall bulk (100/80/100) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

  • Calyrex is a Legendary Pokemon rated S-Tier. At 680 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a setup sweeper. Base 165 Sp. Atk stands out.

  • Calyrex's biggest threats include Aegislash (Ghost) and Hydreigon (Dark), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Aegislash is the most dangerous since Ghost moves deal 4x damage. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.

  • Unnerve is the go-to ability for Calyrex. It prevents opposing Pokémon from eating held Berries. It's Calyrex's only ability.

  • Base 150 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Calyrex is a special attacker with base 165 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a setup sweeper.

  • Best way to handle Calyrex: Priority moves (Mach Punch, Aqua Jet, Ice Shard) bypass its speed. Bulky walls that resist its STAB also shut it down.
