Raw Attack carries Braviary's bulk more than the defenses do. Sp. Atk barely registers. But that HP pool covers for it. A moderately hard to find Valiant Pokemon that yields 2 Attack EVs on a slow 1.25M XP grind.
Screaming a bloodcurdling battle cry, this huge and ferocious bird Pokémon goes out on the hunt. It blasts lakes with shock waves, then scoops up any prey that float to the water’s surface.
Braviary is weak to Electric, Ice, and Rock. On the flip side, it's immune to Ground and Ghost-type moves entirely. With 100 HP and balanced defenses, Braviary can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.

Evolved from Rufflet. Braviary is the final form in this two-stage line. A decent partner pool for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. Attack grew the most through evolution (+40 over Rufflet), and Braviary peaks at 510 total stats. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
For a physical attacker, Braviary wants max Attack and Speed EVs and Safetygoggles. The Jolly nature tilts toward fast physical duty, and Sheerforce contributes without taking a move slot.

In Legends: Arceus, Sheer Force changes the entire equation for Braviary. The 510 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a wallbreaker. Close Combat with Safetygoggles is the standard set.
Sheer Force is what you want on Braviary. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Keen Eye, Defiant) work on paper but Sheer Force is what makes Braviary worth using.
Base 80 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Braviary is a physical attacker with base 123 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
For Legends: Arceus, the core moveset is Close Combat, Bravebird, Facade, and Rock Slide. Close Combat leads at 25% usage. Facade provides reliable STAB damage.
Since debuting in Black & White, Braviary has appeared in 9 titles over 6 generations. Along the way, it received a Hisuian form in Generation 8, keeping it relevant across different competitive metas.
