When this Pokémon expands and contracts its wobbly body, the belly-button dynamo in its stomach produces a huge amount of electricity.

Bellibolt's Electric typing leaves it vulnerable to Ground. Its Electric typing keeps the defensive matchups simple. Bellibolt's overall bulk (109/91/83) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

The physical wall spread is where Bellibolt earns its spot. Rocky Helmet for chip damage on every physical hit received, Bold nature for the right lean, and Slack Off handles sustain. Static does the rest without needing a move slot.

Without TMs, Bellibolt's movepool is bare bones. With them, you get Ground and Normal coverage and more on top of Zap Cannon and Thunder for STAB. The natural kit handles basics, but TMs are doing the real work.

or evolve from Tadbulb (Step 1)
  • Bellibolt has a 495 base stat total and ranks as B-Tier: a solid choice for the right team. It works best as a tank. Base 109 HP is where it shines.

  • Watch for Garchomp (Ground) when using Bellibolt. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.

  • Electromorphosis when hit by an attack, the power of the next Electric-type move it uses is doubled. That's the one you want on Bellibolt. Damp is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Static works too if your team needs something different.

  • Bellibolt fills the tank role. It's leaning toward the special side (base 103 Sp. Atk). Base 45 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. And it's tanky enough to absorb a few hits.

  • Bellibolt has answers, but so do you. Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Physical attackers can break through.

Introduced in Scarlet & Violet, Bellibolt has appeared in 1 games across 2 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
