How To Get Arceus In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl. Arceus is a Mythical Normal Type Pokemon said to have created Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. Arceus can not evolve, but if given a Plate to hold, its type will change with it. This method below was the method used to acquire Arceus in the original 2006 version of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.

  1. After obtaining the Item, Azure Flute, go to the top of Mt. Coronet.
  2. Go to where you battled Dialga/Palkia, and you will be prompted to play the Flute you got.
  3. Once you play the Flute, go up the stairs that appeared.
  4. Approach Arceus and interact with it to battle it.
