Yamask sits at the start of its evolution line — not yet at full power, but that changes fast. Most trainers push through to Cofagrigus as fast as possible. Normal and Fighting moves can't touch it, and only 2 types hit it super-effectively. Known as the Spirit Pokemon.
Defense and Sp. Def carry most of Yamask's stat budget. Attack's the obvious dump stat. Common in the wild and yields 1 Defense EV. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
A clay slab with cursed engravings took possession of a Yamask. The slab is said to be absorbing the Yamask’s dark power.
It’s said that this Pokémon was formed when an ancient clay tablet was drawn to a vengeful spirit.
Yamask Weakness
ExcellentType-wise, Yamask takes extra damage from Ghost and Dark. Normal and Fighting moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity.
One evolution ahead. Yamask grows into Cofagrigus through a straightforward two-stage chain. No compatible partners for breeding via two egg groups. Eggs are average hatch time. Evolving adds up to 180 stat points total.
How to Evolve
Breed Yamask easily from the Indeterminate and Mineral egg groups.
The build centers on Toxic Spikes and survivability. Eviolite means a bulk boost that only works before full evolution, and a spread EV build EVs give Yamask the bulk to set up repeatedly. Mummy adds another layer of staying power.

TMs carry this one. Yamask learns Phantom Force and Shadow Ball naturally for STAB, but the offensive range comes almost entirely from technical machines. Psychic and Bug and beyond give it real matchup play.

Yamask is meant to evolve into Cofagrigus. At 303 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
Yamask can evolve into Cofagrigus and Galarian Runerigus depending on the method. Yamask is the base form in a 3-stage evolutionary line.
Mummy is the go-to ability for Yamask. It changes attacking Pokémon's abilities to Mummy on contact. It's Yamask's only ability.
Base 30 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Yamask is a special attacker with base 55 Sp. Atk.
