Stats & Training
Wormadam's built to absorb hits, not race for knockouts. Special bulk with Sp. Def doing the heavy lifting. And the medium-fast 1M XP curve means it won't take forever to bring up, worth 2 Sp. Def EVs.
When Burmy evolves, its cloak becomes a part of its body. Wormadam’s cloak is never shed.
Its appearance changes depending on where it evolved. The materials on hand become a part of its body.
Wormadam Weakness
Fire, Flying, Ice, Poison, Bug, and Rock moves hit Wormadam for super-effective damage. Fire and Flying hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. The Bug/Grass typing picks up 5 resistances to work with.

How to Get Wormadam in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl
Wormadam can't be caught in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. Transfer Burmy from Diamond or Platinum and evolve through the 2-stage line to get it. The step cards below map the full chain.
Wormadam Guide
In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, watch for Arcanine (Fire), Aerodactyl (Flying), and Cloyster (Ice) when using Wormadam. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Arcanine is the most dangerous since Fire moves deal 4x damage. Poison, Bug, and Rock-type attackers are also a problem. With 6 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. At base 36 Speed, Wormadam won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
For Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, it depends on your team. Wormadam at 424 BST isn't a powerhouse, but the Bug/Grass coverage might be exactly what you're missing.
In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Wormadam brings 424 BST to the table. D-Tier on our list: outclassed by other options available in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. That 105 base Sp. Def does the heavy lifting.
Anticipation notifies all trainers upon entering battle if an opponent has a super-effective move, self destruct, explosion, or a one-hit KO move. That's the one you want on Wormadam. Overcoat is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Bug/Grass gives Wormadam 5 resistances. Sp. Def is the best stat at base 105. Dual typing means STAB coverage on both Bug and Grass moves.
