Mid-stage Pokemon like Vibrava rarely see competitive play outside of special formats. It's a waypoint on the road to Flygon, which is where the real potential kicks in. Known as the Vibration Pokemon. Can go either physical or special depending on the set.
You won't find a real weakness in Vibrava's stat line. It's well-rounded for the Vibration Pokemon, and what it does with that depends on moveset and items. Yields 2 Attack and Speed EVs, on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
It violently shudders its wings, generating ultrasonic waves to induce headaches in people.
Vibrava Weakness
AvgIce, Dragon, and Fairy-type moves hit Vibrava for super-effective damage. Ice hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. The upside? Electric-type moves can't touch it at all. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart.
Vibrava sits between Trapinch and Flygon in this three-stage line. Not the final form yet. For breeding, average hatch time with no compatible partners via two egg groups. So far, Speed got the biggest boost (+60 from Trapinch). The final form adds another 180 stats on top.
How to Evolve
Breed with Vibrava to get Trapinch eggs easily from the Bug and Dragon egg groups. Notable egg moves include Bug Bite, Earth Power, Feint and 6 more.

Don't skip the egg moves. Vibrava picks up Bug Bite and Earth Power only through breeding, and both fill gaps the natural movepool can't. STAB runs through Draco Meteor and Earthquake while coverage across 9 types adds range.

At 340 BST, Vibrava is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Flygon before bringing it to any serious fight.
Vibrava gets Levitate. But Levitate is the one that matters — it's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Vibrava is leaning toward the physical side (base 70 Attack). Fragile — can't afford to take many hits, too. But the speed tells the real story — base 70 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many.
Vibrava appears in 15 games, including Ruby & Sapphire, FireRed & LeafGreen, and Emerald.
Debuting in Ruby & Sapphire, Vibrava appears in 15 games across 7 generations. A reliable presence in most mainline games, typically found through catching or hatching as a base form.
