Mid-stage Pokemon like Vanillish rarely see competitive play outside of special formats. It's a waypoint on the road to Vanilluxe, which is where the real potential kicks in. Only weak to Fire, Fighting, Rock, and Steel. Known as the Icy Snow Pokemon.
Sp. Atk and Sp. Def carry most of Vanillish's stat budget. HP's the obvious dump stat. Common in the wild and yields 2 Sp. Atk EVs. Follows a slow 1.25M XP grind.
By drinking pure water, it grows its icy body. This Pokémon can be hard to find on days with warm, sunny weather.
It blasts enemies with cold air reaching −148 degrees Fahrenheit, freezing them solid. But it spares their lives afterward—it’s a kind Pokémon.

At base 59 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Vanillish is a special attacker with base 80 Sp. Atk.
Vanillish appears in 8 games, including Black & White, Black 2 & White 2, and X & Y.
