Tranquill sits in the middle of its evolution line — stronger than Pidove but not yet at full power. Most trainers push through to Unfezant as fast as possible. Flexible enough to run physical or special sets. Introduced in Gen 5.

Attack and Speed carry most of Tranquill's stat budget. Sp. Def's the obvious dump stat. Common in the wild and yields 2 Attack EVs. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.

Partway through Pidove's chain. Tranquill still has another evolution ahead before reaching Unfezant. For breeding, quick to hatch with no compatible partners via one egg group. Attack has grown the most so far (+22), but there's still another 130 stats to gain in the final evolution.

or evolve from Pidove (Step 1)
  • Tranquill is meant to evolve into Unfezant. At 358 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.

  • Tranquill's biggest threats include Jolteon (Electric), Cloyster (Ice), and Tyranitar (Rock), all carrying super-effective STAB moves.

  • Pidove evolves into Tranquill at level 21. Tranquill evolves into Unfezant at level 32. Tranquill is a middle-stage evolution in the Pidove line.

  • Big Pecks is the go-to ability for Tranquill. It protects against Defense drops. Its hidden ability Rivalry can work in specific setups. Super Luck is the other option — pick based on what your team needs.

  • At base 65 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Tranquill is a physical attacker with base 77 Attack. Defensively? Fragile — can't afford to take many hits.

  • Tranquill appears in 7 games, including Black & White, Black 2 & White 2, and X & Y.

Tranquill joined the series in Black & White and has been available in 7 titles so far. With 5 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
