Tranquill Guide

  • Tranquill is meant to evolve into Unfezant. At 358 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.

  • In Black 2 & White 2, Tranquill's biggest threats include Jolteon (Electric), Cloyster (Ice), and Tyranitar (Rock), all carrying super-effective STAB moves.

  • In Black 2 & White 2, Pidove evolves into Tranquill at level 21. Tranquill evolves into Unfezant at level 32. Tranquill is a middle-stage evolution in the Pidove line.

  • Big Pecks is the go-to ability for Tranquill. It protects against Defense drops. Its hidden ability Rivalry can work in specific setups. Super Luck is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.

  • At base 65 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Tranquill is a physical attacker with base 77 Attack. Defensively? Fragile, can't afford to take many hits.

Game Availability

Tranquill joined the series in Black & White and has been available in 7 titles so far. With 6 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
