While most trainers evolve Stufful into Bewear immediately, the unevolved form has a niche with Eviolite boosting its defenses. Ghost moves can't touch it, which offsets the 4 weaknesses somewhat. Known as the Flailing Pokemon. The stat spread favors raw physical power.

Stufful's spread isn't flashy. Attack leads, Sp. Atk trails, 0 stats clear the bar. Common in the wild and worth 1 Attack EV, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.

It boasts power enough to split large trees in half. The organ on its rear releases an odor that it uses to communicate with others of its kind.

Ultra Sun

Stufful hates to be hugged or touched in any way. It will squirm, thrash, and resist with amazing power.

Ultra Moon

Stufful Weakness

Avg

Stufful's Normal/Fighting typing leaves it vulnerable to Fighting, Flying, Psychic, and Fairy moves. It shrugs off Ghost-type attacks completely.

The natural movepool does the job, but Endure and Force Palm from the egg pool give Stufful something extra. Pair those with Focus Punch and Thrash for STAB and coverage across 9 types for reach, and the kit fills out nicely.

  • Stufful isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Bewear to unlock its full potential. At 340 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.

  • Watch for Conkeldurr (Fighting), Braviary (Flying), and Starmie (Psychic) when using Stufful. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Fairy-type attackers are also a problem.

  • Stufful evolves into Bewear at level 27. Stufful is the base form of this evolutionary line.

  • Fluffy damage from contact moves is halved — that's the one you want on Stufful. Cute Charm is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Klutz works too if your team needs something different.

  • Stufful fills the balanced role. It's a physical attacker with base 75 Attack. Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.

  • Stufful can be found in Sword & Shield, Sun & Moon, and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.

Introduced in Sun & Moon, Stufful has appeared in 3 games across 3 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
