Sizzlipede is technically a pre-evolution of Centiskorch, but it holds its own in formats where Eviolite is allowed. Flash Fire absorbs Fire moves and powers up its own, adding extra value. Flexible enough to run physical or special sets.
An unusually even spread gives Sizzlipede flexibility. Attack barely edges ahead. But Defense isn't far off. Common in the wild and follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve. Yields 1 Attack EV.

Sizzlipede Weakness
AvgType-wise, Sizzlipede takes extra damage from Rock, Water, and Flying. Watch out for Rock attacks, those deal 4x damage. With 6 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Flash Fire grants an additional Fire immunity, reshaping the matchup chart.
One evolution ahead. Sizzlipede grows into Centiskorch through a straightforward two-stage chain. No compatible partners for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. Evolving adds up to 220 stat points total.
How to Evolve
Breed Sizzlipede easily from the Bug egg group.

Sizzlipede is meant to evolve into Centiskorch. At 305 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
Sizzlipede's biggest threats include Terrakion (Rock), Greninja (Water), and Talonflame (Flying), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Terrakion is the most dangerous since Rock moves deal 4x damage.
Sizzlipede evolves into Centiskorch at level 28. Sizzlipede is the base form of this evolutionary line.
Flash Fire is what you want on Sizzlipede. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (White Smoke, Flame Body) work on paper but Flash Fire is what makes Sizzlipede worth using.
Base 45 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Sizzlipede is leaning toward the physical side (base 65 Attack). Defensively? Fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
Sizzlipede can be found in Winds & Waves and Sword & Shield.
Sizzlipede joined the series in Sword & Shield and has been available in 2 titles so far. With 3 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
