ROSELIA shoots sharp thorns as projectiles at any opponent that tries to steal the flowers on its arms. The aroma of this POKéMON brings serenity to living things.
On extremely rare occasions, a ROSELIA is said to appear with its flowers in unusual colors. The thorns on this POKéMON’s head contain a vicious poison.

Spikes is the priority every time Roselia comes in. Calm nature and max HP and Sp. Def EVs keep it alive long enough to get layers down, while Leftovers provides passive recovery each turn. Natural Cure rounds it out.

In Ruby & Sapphire, Run Natural Cure on Roselia. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Roselia also gets Poison Point and Leaf Guard, but they don't compare.
In Ruby & Sapphire, Roselia fills the attacker role. It's a mixed attacker with base 60 Attack and 100 Sp. Atk. At base 65 Speed, it won't be moving first often.
