Stats & Training
Krokorok's built around physical offense. Attack leads the charge, Defense pays for it. Moderately hard to find, worth 2 Attack EVs. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
They live in groups of a few individuals. Protective membranes shield their eyes from sandstorms.
The special membrane covering its eyes can sense the heat of objects, so it can see its surroundings even in darkness.
Krokorok Weakness
Krokorok is weak to Water, Grass, Ice, Fighting, Bug, and Fairy. On the flip side, it's immune to Electric and Psychic-type moves entirely. It resists 4 types, giving it decent defensive coverage.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Water, Grass, Ice, Fighting, Bug, Fairy |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Poison, Rock, Ghost, Dark |
| 0x (Immune) | Electric, Psychic |

Krokorok Guide
In X & Y, Krokorok isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Krookodile to unlock its full potential. At 351 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
In X & Y, Sandile evolves into Krokorok at level 29. Krokorok evolves into Krookodile at level 40. Krokorok is a middle-stage evolution in the Sandile line.
In X & Y, Run Intimidate on Krokorok. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Krokorok also gets Moxie and Anger Point, but they don't compare.
In X & Y, Krokorok fills the balanced role. It's a physical attacker with base 82 Attack. Base 74 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. And it's fragile, can't afford to take many hits.
Game Availability
Introduced in Black & White, Krokorok has appeared in 9 games across 6 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
