Drowzee is technically a pre-evolution of Hypno, but it holds its own in formats where Eviolite is allowed. Only weak to Bug, Ghost, and Dark. Been around since Gen 1. Known as the Hypnosis Pokemon.
Drowzee's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Def leads, Speed trails, 1 stats clear the bar. Common in the wild and worth 1 Sp. Def EV, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
If you think that you had a good dream but you can’t remember it, a DROWZEE has probably eaten it.
It remembers every dream it eats. It rarely eats the dreams of adults because children’s are much tastier.
Drowzee Weakness
VulnerableDrowzee is weak to Bug, Ghost, and Dark-type moves. Drowzee's special bulk (base 90 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)
Drowzee evolves into Hypno. It's a two-stage chain with the method shown below. A decent partner pool for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. Evolving adds up to 155 stat points total.

Drowzee evolves into Hypno at level 26. Drowzee is the base form of this evolutionary line.
Insomnia is the go-to ability for Drowzee. It prevents sleep. Its hidden ability Inner Focus can work in specific setups. Forewarn is the other option — pick based on what your team needs.
Drowzee fills the balanced role. It's a physical attacker with base 48 Attack. Base 42 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.
